An incredibly rare mid 17th century porringer and cover decorated with elegant foliage embossing. The detachable cover has additional foliage embossing for highlights and is crowned with a rare paten/finial. The handles are scroll formed with elegant busts. The centre front of the porringer has a contemporary armorial for importance.
