A very good quality 18th century swing handled oval cake basket with a decorative shaped gadroon border for highlights. The gallery of the basket has elegant hand piercing alternating between decorative swags. The center front of the basket has a stylish contemporary armorial (achievement of Knott of Sussex. Donated by Elizabeth Cookson of Clappersgate)) for importance.
